“Klara Wodehn combines affiliation with the hyperpop scene, rap form and punk filth in an original way. She creates a small-room psychedelia, fully protected from the outside world, from which she does not turn away. Her dreamy sonic landscape full of glitches and catchy melodies grows as much from clay as from concrete. With her work, the musician shows how subtle the engagement of contemporary experimental music can be.”

Klara Wodehn

glitchy cloud rap experimental ambient

Klara Wodehn is a producer, songwriter, and vocalist based between Athens/Greece and Brno/Czechia.

In her music, she focuses on synthesizing the poetic with the political — using heavy autotune, she sings and raps over glitchy dreamscapes with cloud rap rhythms. Although her music has been blurring genres year after year, her early work has been sonically based on the 2017 SoundCloud rap wave with added ambient elements, while the social engagement in her lyrics references her upbringing on punk and emo bands.

Her first EP was released in 2022 under the name Dream Life. In four songs, she reveals her fascination with daydreaming, natural beauty, and fantasy worlds. In 2024, she released the EP Hyperion, which further develops these themes. Reflecting this enthusiasm for pure imagination, her music often features samples from computer games, which illustrate this feeling of parallel worlds in which we can live. She is equally fascinated by technology, but actively seeks to transform dystopian sci-fi visions into fairer and greener ones.

Her other project is the band The Ovulation, which she shares with audiovisual artists Cera Krisana and Anxious Millenial – this band only plays concerts during daylight hours, powered by solar energy. A similar blend of technology and magic is also the basis for the trio of-yet-to-come band, which she is a member of together with musicians Sxilence and Oliver Torr.

In 2025, she graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Brno University of Technology in the Video Studio. As part of her studies, she became an active member of the student organization favu label, which brings together students engaged in music and sound creation.

They collectively release music, organize concerts, workshops, and discussions. Wodehn often collaborates with other artists – she released a joint EP with the artist Zzai under the name Shygirlz and appears on several songs with the artist Toyota Vangelis. Other feats include collaborations with rapper Edúv syn, underground rapper kashel makatussin, a song for the remix album by Zlín-based producer Nanashi or a feat with O.Torr for the album Marble Music by Prague-based producer Marbleboy.
